Joseph LoRusso
Joseph is a Colorado native who is licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado. Joseph received his undergrad education at the United States Air Force Academy and Metro State University of Denver. Joseph received his Juris Doctorate at Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While at Washburn, Joseph founded the school's very first aviation legal community, Washburn's Committee on Air and Space Law (CASL). It was through CASL that Joseph became the first student presenter at Washburn's first continuing legal education (CLE) aviation symposium. Prior to law school, Joseph founded and owned northern Colorado's premier flight school, Leading Edge Flight Training. While instructing and operating Leading Edge, Joseph also worked as an aviation broker for both jet and prop airplanes. During law school, Joseph also became a US patent holder for an aviation headset, designed for sustained levels of high positive and negative G forces.
While attending law school, Joseph began working at Ralston, Pope & Diehl, LLC. in Topeka, Kansas. Ralston, Pope & Diehl has received national recognition in the medical malpractice, personal injury, and products liability fields of law. Ralston, Pope & Diehl has served the needs of clients throughout Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, and Nebraska.
When not in the office, Joseph can most likely be found in the air or on the side of a soccer field. In addition to being a former Division 1 soccer player for the United States Air Force Academy, Joseph also serves on the board of directors of the Nick J. LoRusso Memorial Scholarship Fund. The NJL fund was formed by the LoRusso family as a legacy and tribute to Joseph's father, Nick, and it provides the necessary funding for Colorado's youth to enjoy soccer.
